DOMINATION…the struggle for domination in all its forms, political, economical, military is the answer to the question WHY?

WHY has there always been such need for strife in the Anuirean Empire?

The history and the face of modern Anuire has been shaped by constant struggle and maneuvering for power.

NO need, the wise would argue. Anuire is and has always been shaped by the driving force, which is inherent in all humans. AMBITION…

TWO WARS ONE EMPEROR,

TWO great civil wars determined its timeline. ONE that forged the Empire and the one that tore it apart. Michael Roele, the last Anuirean emperor fought hard and long not against other cerilian races or even the Gorgon, but against Anuirean city-states which had proclaimed their independence. Risking even the darkness that is the shadoworld, he managed after a final epic battle against the duke Boeruin to emerge victorious.

His vast empire comprised of the entire anuire and included large portions of the Khinasi, Rhurik and Brecht lands.

Alas…Nothing stands still. With the fall of the Roele Bloodline ,the empire crumbled to the ground. It was not only the death of the emperor that spelled its doom. Petty differences between nobles, half forgotten during the reign of the roeles’, aroused, thus rekindling the spark of hate. Civil War broke out once again. The once proud Anuirean empire was no more:Nobles tried to lay claim to the iron throne, violence erupted all around.

In this confusion most of the conquered states of Brechtur, Khinasi and Rhuven managed to claim back their independence thus shaping the modern face of anuire.
